Prompt, professional medical care when you’re not feeling well—delivered with the same warmth and precision that define Healing Well Center.

When to Schedule an Acute Sick Visit

An Acute Sick Visit is designed for sudden, non-emergency illnesses or symptoms that need timely attention. These appointments help diagnose and treat conditions before they worsen, ensuring your comfort and recovery as quickly as possible.

We offer same-day and next-day availability whenever possible for both new and established patients.

Common Reasons for a Sick Visit

  • Cough, sore throat, or sinus infections
  • Fever or flu-like symptoms
  • Ear infections or congestion
  • Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
  • Rash, hives, or allergic reactions
  • Stomach pain, nausea, or digestive issues
  • Mild asthma or respiratory flare-ups
  • Migraine or acute headache
  • Minor injuries, sprains, or muscle pain

What to Expect During Your Visit

  • Focused Medical Evaluation: A provider listens to your symptoms and performs a targeted exam.
  • Rapid Testing (as needed): Strep, flu, COVID-19, urinalysis, or other point-of-care tests.
  • Immediate Relief Plan: Same-day prescriptions, supportive care, or short-term treatments.
  • Follow-Up Instructions: Clear recovery steps and guidance on when to return if symptoms persist.

What’s Not Covered

Please note: life-threatening emergencies such as chest pain, severe shortness of breath, heavy bleeding, or stroke-like symptoms should be treated in the emergency department (call 911).

Visit Flow

  1. Check-In: Quick intake and vitals.
  2. Consultation: Discussion and exam with your provider.
  3. Testing & Treatment: On-site testing or prescriptions as needed.
  4. Discharge Plan: Guidance, documentation, and follow-up if necessary.
